SSC Officers Take Oath, PTA General Assembly Officers Elected

A new batch of Supreme Student Council Officers for the Basic Education Department took their Oath of Office last September 5, 2023, right after the Flag Ceremony at the Colegio de Sto. Tomas-Recoletos Quadrangle.

Twelfth Grader Karl Osano led the student-officers as the SSC President for Academic Year 2023 to 2024. With him were 12 other officers from the vice-president, Julia Alfon, Grade 12 NSS, to the year level representatives.

Ms. Marinell Ocampo, school principal, officiated the oath taking.

The Basic Education Department SSC grand rally and general elections were held last August 31, with two student-political parties namely: SUGOD (Student-Leaders with Ultimate Goals of Development) and SALIGAN (Students Advocating Leadership & Invigorating Grandest Achievements for Neo-Educational Dyanamism).

Meanwhile, the CST-R Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) General Assembly also elected a new set of officers last September 2, Saturday, at the CST-R Cultural Hall, right after the PTA Report that covered A.Y. 2022-2023.

Ms. Romana S. Carreon was re-elected as CST-R PTA General Assembly President. Other PTA officers include:

Secretary: Neorilyn Marie V. Luntao

Assistant Secretary: Reyna Cris J. Unabia

Treasurer: Joanna May R. Escorial

Assistant Treasurer: Liza P. Rivera

Auditor: Jennelyn Peralta

PIO Internal: Aivan Cañete; External: Ginalyn F. Despi

Business Managers: 1. Jeremias C. Cañete; 2. Marites Paculanag

 

Thomasian Right to Vote. Mr. Nhamerod Ceralbo, Religion Education teacher, serves as election officer during the CST-R Supreme Student Council Elections for the Basic Education Department. A seventh grade Thomasian casts his vote in a classroom at the St. Monica Building.
Pink Warriors. Student-candidates under the S.A.L.I.G.A.N. Party present themselves to the Thomasians during the SSC Grand Rally last August 31, 2023.

New PTA Officers. The CST-R Parents-Teachers Association General Assembly Officers are elected into office for A.Y. 2023-2024.
Raising of Hands. The PTA Homeroom Presidents and Vice-Presidents re-elect Ms. Ramona S. Carreon as president.
