Thomasians celebrated Math Week 2023 with a week-long program designed to promote Mathematics education and to make learning Math more fun and engaging for students.

The events kicked off last April 27th with the Math Quiz Bee followed by the MLBB Tournament on the 28th. There is also a bulletin board design contest open to all the grades and sections. The contest followed the theme: “Math is for Everyone.”

One of the highlights of Math Week was the MLBB Tournament, a competition where groups of students played against each other in Mobile Legends, a hit mobile multiplayer online battle arena game. Competitors consisted of “squads.” Each squad was a group of five players competing against another team. The tournament followed an elimination round, where competitors were separated into different brackets. Winners then proceeded to the semi-finals and finals.

Squads SMILE and Freedom Fighters finished off the tournament in a head-to-head battle. SMILE became the championship.

On May 9th the Bulletin Board Design Contest culminated with the following winners;

Grade 11 Our Lady of Pillar, First Place

Grade 9 Saint Ezekiel Moreno, Second Place
