Vinschool The Harmony, Vietnam is CST-R’s New Partner School; Thomasians Join Learners Summit

Two Thomasian speakers joined the Young Learners Summit: Sustainable Development Goals of Vinschool The Harmony, based in Ha Hoi, Vietnam, last December 21, 2022, via Zoom.

Jawn Philip Joy Alvarez and Aleck Duane Pascua, both eleventh graders, discussed how Colegio de Sto. Tomas-Recoletos are achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG No. 4 on Quality Education, No. 10 on Reduced Inequalities and No. 13 on Climate Action. These actions by Thomasians for the Thomasian community, the speakers mentioned, are believed to be contributors to the Philippine actions toward achieving the 17 SDGs.

Vinschool The Harmony of Vietnam isnow a CST-R partner school in advancing learning and teaching and cultural immersion. The Young Learners Summit was the first virtual event with CST-R’s participation.

Achieving Quality Education, Addressing Inequality. Grade 11 student Jawn Philip Joy Alvarez discusses the many disadvantages when inequality exists and shares how CST-R acts on delivering quality education by helping Thomasians gain access to learning.
Actions for the Common Home. Aleck Duane Pascua, Grade 11, provides both insight and criticism on existing paradigms that affect the environment. He also shares how Thomasians care for the Common Home.
