The College Department of Colegio de Sto. Tomas-Recoletos celebrated the 1st College Days and Intramurals and the return of in-campus sports last October 6, 7 and 8, 2022.

Grouped based on their three academic sections, the students of the College of Criminal Justice Education and the College of Business played against each other and the high school varsity teams to mark the return of basketball, football and volleyball in the school campus.

For Men’s Basketball, the BS in Criminology students of CO2 beat the players of CO1 in a thrilling match that ended in a 107-102 final score.

The students of BS in Entrepreneurship in CO3/EO1 dominated Women’s Volleyball. Meanwhile, CO2 outlasted CO1 in Men’s Volleyball in a five-setter match that deadlocked at every point in the deciding set.

Exhibition games were also played in football and volleyball.

While the big Thomasian brothers wiped out the much younger high school volleyball team, the eighth and ninth graders of the CST-R Golden Eagles Football easily scored 6 goals to two during the 11-aside football match played last October 8.

The return of sports in CST-R was a first for the College Department and ignited the Thomasian team spirit.

On the evening of October 6, the students also gathered for a mini sports pageant—the College Department’s 1st Mr. & Ms. Intramurals.

Mr. Romel Sayson and Ms. Kem Alora won the titles respectively.  Both are from the College of Criminal Justice Education. Other participants were Jaqueline Fransisco and Vince Patrick Meñosa (1st Runner-Up) and Edlene Avenido and Joselito Labrador (2nd Runner-Up).
