It started with football and ended with Zumba!

The Colegio de Sto. Tomas-Recoletos Intramurals 2022 began on October 6 with football and volleyball. The ninth graders were the over-all champions for the Junior High School Department after they dominated in football for the boys’ and girls’ categories. Grade 10 came in second place, then Grade 7 and Grade 8.

In the Senior High School Department, Grade 12 beat Grade 11 to claim the top prize.

Despite the heated sports competition, Thomasians all joined the Zumba Dance Exercise session with instructor Michael Lim last October 10 at the quadrangle.

Section advisers led their players on and off the courts and fields. During the pot luck session that symbolized as thanksgiving for St. Thomas of Villanova’s feast day, all sections and teams celebrated together and shared native snacks, sandwiches and ice cream.

Re-Tooling for Volleyball. Grade 9 Boys dominated three other grade levels to become the Junior High School champion. Team Grade 11 won the Championship for Senior High School.
Jumping High. The girls of Grade 9 outlasted other teams and scored the championship point for this year’s Junior High School division. Grade 12 veteran players dominated in the Girls Volleyball Senior High School.
For Football. The undersized Grade 8 girls dominated the game at the Golden Eagles Football Field and were hailed the Girls Champion for Junior High School. Eleventh graders outscored the twelfth graders and became the Girls Champion for Senior High School.
Home of the Champions. Proving that CST-R is the Home of Football Champions, Thomasians in every grade level pulled out all the stops to win this year’s championship but the well-oiled boys of Grade 9, fresh from local commercial league circuits, emerged victorious. While the younger Grade 11 boys out-scored their Grade 12 opponents.
