“Dear, Sto. Tomas: Kini mao ang akong istorya.” CST-R Calls for Creative Nonfiction Works from Alumni, Faculty, Staff, Students

Aiming to publish its own anthology nostalgia, humor, drama and lore, Colegio de Sto. Tomas-Recoletos is now calling for its children to tap their inner writer to come up with stories and anecdotes from a Thomasian point-of-view.

The stories will also be featured in the online campaign on www.cstr.edu.ph called “80 Years in 80 Days” and will be part of an exclusive in-campus exhibit.

The online campaign will begin 80 days before April 19, 2020, CST-R’s Founding Day. Everyday, one story will be featured online.

Below are the guidelines

80   ka Mga Istorya sa Sto. Tomas

A.1. In celebration of CST-R’s 80th Founding Anniversary, the institution aims to collect at least 80 anecdotes, creative nonfiction pieces or recollections of life and studies at CST-R from its alumni.

A.2. Collected works will be compiled in an exclusive anthology titled “Mga Istorya sa Sto. Tomas.” For the “80 Years in 80 Days” online campaign, one story will be published at www.cstr.edu.ph everyday during the 80-day countdown to the Founding Anniversary on April 19, 2020.

A.3. The “eight best” works will be printed in a tarpaulin and displayed in a gallery at the lobby of the school for the Alumni Homecoming season in October 2020.
