Thomasians Join Robotics Competition

Five incoming Grade 8 Thomasians joined the Northern District Robotics Hackathon and Competition last July 24 and 25, 2023 at the SDS Hall, Schools Division Office, San Carlos City.

Jezaria Fredrique Sandag earned a spot among the top 10 Battle of the Bots participants who will be representing Department of Education Division of San Carlos to the provincial level of the competition in September 7.

Cris Dranreb Magsucang competed in Line Tracing category while Kaizene Saskiah Batomalaque, Trixie Monique España and Alexcy Grace Muyo were the competitors in Sumobots.

The Negros Occidental Language and Information Technology Center (NOLITC) of the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental gave the participants training and workshop on robotics during the first day of the event. NOLITC also provided the equipment and tools for students to learn the basics of robotics and intelligent machines programming.

This is the THomasians’ first time to be part of the NOLITC initiative.
