New Kiosks for 2020! It was 3:10pm in the afternoon when we had our Creative Nonfiction class at the newly built kiosks at beside the famed CSTR football field. When we opened the gates to the Fr. Zunzarren Pathway, the freshly painted kiosks greeted us. The ambience was complete with cool breeze. As we sat, we noticed that the kiosks provided greater comfort because there was enough room for everyone, the benches are spacious and the shade sheltered us from the harsh rays of the mid-afternoon sun.

I did not actually write anything as I spent most of the hour appreciating the peaceful scene before me. I rested my arms on the marbled table as I observed my busy classmates who are trying to compose their essays. Watching them, I thought it was a brilliant idea for CSTR to build new kiosks for the school badly needed them. This senior high school system contributed to CSTR’s ballooning population. Thus, the tables and benches at the canteen and the lobby could no longer accommodate everyone who dine in-campus at noon. Now, the students can have lunch comfortably in the kiosks as well as and they can spend their recess or break time peacefully there, too.

These days, we’d often have writing sessions at the kiosks and I’d say that they are not only limited to snack times but are also for music sharing, bonding sessions, even reading sessions and moments when one needed to reflect over events and things. The possibilities are limitless. However whether, we are there for classes, lunches or chitchats, we just have to make sure that we clean up the area because if we don’t take of this venue, it won’t last as long as we’d like them to. Well, Thomasians better enjoy this new tambayan before the school year closes.
