Mr. Christopher Gil Cosas, chef-owner of renowned local restaurant Mr. C, shared about “Interacting Effectively with Your Customer Using Social Media” during the TLE Week Webinar, hosted via zoom, February 21, 2022.
Cosas, who is also a Thomasian alumnus, shared his experiences as a chef in Australia among other countries and now a business owner in San Carlos City. He gave tips on serving and interacting with customers.
“I am a firm believer of the digital [platform]. Regardless of whether it is pandemic or post-pandemic, whether we like it or not, it will stay.” The international chef highlighted the various elements needed for a successful business and emphasized that customer satisfaction and brand perception are highly valued in a digital platform.
He encouraged the budding entrepreneurs to maximize social media and be mindful of personal social media accounts.
He said, “Branding is very important…if you are the founder of the brand, everyone will be checking your personal account.”
Sales, according to him, comes easy as long as brand and market are established. He added that, “Selling comes once you have a notable brand.”
He also shared the difficulties he had to face during the early days of his business, stating that being one of the pioneers of online food order and delivery service in San Carlos City played a significant role in the success of his business.
In 2013, Mr. C began accepting online orders. This proved to be highly lucrative for the restaurant. Cosas added that due to their online sales, they contemplated having two phones to handle incoming orders.
During the open forum, students also asked Chef Cosas for tips on building the brand.
