CST-R 84th Year Logo and Theme “The Thomasians at 84: Pioneers, Paragons, Pilgrims”

The Theme

Eighty-four years after the Founding Fathers decided to establish the oldest existing Augustinian Recollect school in the Philippines, who are the Thomasians now?

The Thomasians are pioneers in varied industries and disciplines not only in the country but also across the globe. From sports to science and social action, Thomasians are paving the way for others to follow.

In their respective endeavors, the Thomasians are paragons in exemplifying accountability, courage, love in the exercise of knowledge and skills, and dedication.

While eighty-four years are a remarkable milestone, the Thomasians are all pilgrims of faith as together they dream big of CST-R’s achievements and progress towards its centennial anniversary. Always, this pilgrimage is done through the formation and education of the young.

The Logo

The 84th Year Logo displays the waves of colors depicting the Augustinian Recollect values that ripple through the life of a Thomasian—red for charity, blue for being Marian, and green for the Care of Creation, WHILE Gold that blends into red is the brand color of Thomasians.

The logo prominently features the ship’s steering wheel that symbolizes how Thomasians are always on a journey throughout the eight decades of the school and towards its centennial. The three handles are the Thomasians who are the pioneers, paragons, and pilgrims of faith.

This year’s logo features the work of artist Ziff Calvin Marabillo of CST-R Batch 2004. Mr. Marabillo, now a certified public accountant, was the batch valedictorian. He ranked second in the 2008 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination.
