“Who is a leader?”

University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos Dean Jean Benedicto-Pauyon, RCrim, PhD asked a BS in Criminology student during the Leadership Seminar that highlighted the, Inc. Criminology Days 2024.

The theme “Grow People Through Leadership” greatly inspired the criminology Thomasians as future uniformed personnel.

“Leadership is genuine and always starts in the heart,” Dr. Pauyon told the students.

While students give their insights on what a leader is to them, Dr. Pauyon emphasized that success is attainable if you have the preparation and opportunity. As for the Thomasians, they believe that studying criminology itself is a leadership preparation and that the CST-R Core Values of Charity, Obedience, Universal, Recollection, Grace, and Environmental are the path to leadership in law enforcement.

CST-R College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) Dean Louie U. Callora, RCrim, PhD were present at the event while CCJE Supreme Student Council President Ms. Clyde Pasatiempo led the students.

CST-R CCJE celebrated its 2nd Criminology Days last May 15 and 16, 2024. Other activities included the College Fun Run, Departmental Ball Games with teams led by Mr. Mel John Casio and Ret. Col. Adonis Rosales, Water Showering with the Bureau of Fire Protection San Carlos Station.
