Introducing the Thomasian Learning Management System

Colegio de Sto. Tomas-Recoletos launches the Thomasian Learning Management System (TLMS), a two-way distance learning education for adapting to the “new normal.”

TLMS is CST-R’s response to the Department of Education’s call that basic education should continue despite the pandemic caused by the novel corona virus 2019.

While the Philippine Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) guidelines still prohibit face-to-face or traditional learning, CST-R is now transitioning to a distance learning system through online and modular modalities.

TLMS is anchored on the PAGE concept: “Ensuring Continued Education in the New Normal.” PAGE is a paradigm of learning continuity involving “progressive learning experiences, involvement and informing the community, growth for all [students], and encompassing education” that bridges socio-economic and geographic gaps.

Online Learning will be implemented via synchronous and asynchronous delivery of lessons, activities and outputs. Modular Learning will be conducted using workbooks and gadget-minimal activities.

True to its 80th Founding Anniversary commitment to “transformative” education and culture, CST-R constantly creates and implements innovations to respond to the needs of the current time and to transition into a safe, healthy and effective learning environment.
