Grade 12 Thomasians Charisse Ann Lumanog and Beatrice Anne Dingcong, both from section NSS, won as champions in the Advocacy Challenge Event during the Media Expo 2020 held at University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos (UNO-R) last February 28, 2020. Lumanog and Dingcong tackled about reducing waste at source by avoiding the use of plastic packaging in the advocacy titled “Skip a Plastic, Save a Life.”
The UNO-R Media Expo 2020 highlighted the theme “Looking at the Future…Now.” Ten out of 42 student-participants won scholarships to college courtesy of UNO-R’s Mass Communication Department.
Mel Ivan Bustamante, also from section NSS, represented CST-R in the News Writing Event while Raymart Abitona, from OLP, represented the school in the Spoken Poetry Event.
