Last January 24 to 25, 2020, Colegio de Sto. Tomas-Recoletos Rover Scouts spent a night of Vigil and Initiation at the CST-R Cultural Center for welcoming the new set of Thomasian Rover Scouts with the help of the Negros Occidental Council staff.
The scouts gathered at the Cultural Center for the opening program which was led by the Negros Occidental Council. Mr. Clint Cuico, Scout Adviser of CST-R, welcomed all scout officers and scouts to the ceremonies. Mr. Roberto Maguad, MTA, L.T., Council Scout Executive, introduced the staff members.

During the program proper, Emiliano Rombo, WBH, explained the Introduction and Objectives of Rover Scouting while Nelson Escobin, WBH, discussed the Principles of Rover Scouting.
All Thomasians who applied to become Rover Scouts were then sent to the quadrangle for their group discussions and for them to reflect on the “12 Points of a Scout” until five in the morning.
The “dubbing” ceremony commenced in the morning. Mr. Carl Jule Gico, ALT, CMT, Course Leader led the ceremony that formally initiated the applicants into the Rover Scouts.
