As a Religious Order and as a community, we are all walking into a post-pandemic world where the realities of worsening climate crisis and global discord sharply stare straight into the eyes of our heart and soul.
CST-R’s 82nd year is going to be a year of transitions as Philippines schools evolve into face-to-face learning with limitations. More important than this, the Recollect education center, as part of the Order of Augustinian Recollects, is also going to transition with the entire order into the next two trienniums.
In recognition for the need for true solidarity among members of the CST-R community and the Order, we adopt the theme of the 56th General Chapter: We Walk Together. Truly, all community members— students, parents, teachers, non-teaching staff, religious administrators –need to go through the processes and activities of all these transitions with mindfulness of each other’s pace, with reflection, with continuous formation, and with constant prayer.
As we launch the 82nd Founding Anniversary theme, we also launch this logo that highlights the footprints of us all who are walking in solidarity. Rev. Fr. Sixto Bitangjol, OAR, former CST-R Principal and teacher, is the artist behind this visual.
In Saint Augustine, may we always find inspiration as we walk for the fulfillment of the charisma of the Recollection.
In the Truth, may we remain true to our mission that is the education of the youth despite us being thrust in the middle of a post-pandemic, climatically deteriorating world, in the middle of all the transitions.
